Wheel Kids is seeking coaches for Summer and for our upcoming variety of Spring events (Spring Break camp, riding lessons, mini-camps). We’re looking for creative and energetic people who love kids, bicycling, adventure and fun; who can lead, mentor and inspire; and who want to expand their own horizons and gain great career experience while working in one of the most exciting and unique day camps in the Bay Area. Coaches are expected to be ambassadors of good bicycling who actively model and demonstrate the skills and attitudes necessary to promote a positive relationship with the public.
Available positions include:

Head Coach - ideal for those with extensive experience teaching, coaching or otherwise engaging with children in a camp, academic or organizational setting and who are willing and able to take on daily management responsibilities. A college degree is preferred for this position.

Assistant Coach - suited for those currently or recently engaged in academic programs and experience involved with child development or similar and/or those with previous experience who are contemplating academic studies in education, child development or similar. High School juniors and seniors will be considered for this position.

Volunteer Coach - perfect for those seeking to gain experience working with children or for those with the time to devote to sharing their experience and expertise. High School Sophomores and above are welcome to apply.
All positions are available part-time on a flexible schedule between now and late May, and full time for our Summer Camp schedule. Part time positions also may be available during summer. Please contact us ASAP for Spring Break (week of 26 March) and Riding Lessons (beginning 24 March). Part-time Spring coaching staff will receive preferred status for Summer coaching positions. Preferred Summer candidates will be available for the duration of camp: 29 May through 31 August, plus pre-camp training.
All candidates must:

- Provide a minimum of two references and verifiable work experience.
- Complete an interview with Wheel Kids' management.
- Head Coach and Assistant Coach candidates must provide proof of first aid and CPR certification prior to hire.
