"They had a fantastic time; best camp of the year."
On any given weekday you'll find us riding our bikes - somewhere. It could be west to Fort Point, the Golden Gate Bridge or Presidio; east to the Embarcadero, ballpark or Mission Bay; or out of town entirely on a field trip. While we ride we work on skills - bike handling, safety and basic repairs. We stop whenever we want - we watch the pelicans and boats in the harbors, we play in the sand at the beach, we kick balls around on the grass, we take leisurely rest stops to eat snacks and lunch. Basically, we act like kids on bikes!
Wondering what camp is best for your child?
See our skills descriptions page.
Once a week we take a day long field trip to learn something special about our region - its flora and fauna, geography, professions and people. We take our bikes with us, of course, letting them transport us to see new places, learn new things and have unique and amazing adventures.

Schedule
While every day is different a typical camp day includes:
Morning
8:30 to 9:00 is arrival time (arrival time begins at 8:00 for extended hours). Riders are signed in, then have a chance to hang out with friends and play games, read or work on their bikes in the clubhouse. 9:00 to 9:30 is spent checking bikes and helmets for safety and reviewing the day's coming activities. At 9:30 we begin our morning activity. This could be a BikeCircus where we learn new skills, a ride to a nearby destination, or the beginning of a full day where we ride to a variety of places or events. On Mondays we review the Club Rules for safe riding and good camp behavior. We stop for a snack in the late morning, then have lunch from 12:00 to 1:15.
Afternoon
After lunch we begin our afternoon activity. This could be another ride to a nearby destination, a continuation of the morning's ride or activities, or a series of short rides where we practice various riding skills. On Fridays we make sure we have plenty of time for a bike clean-up. Around 3:30 we return to the clubhouse where we hang out, relax and play until check out at 4:00 (this schedule may vary for mini-camp; see details for pickup time). For riders who stay for extended hours, we'll have short rides to nearby playgrounds or other attractions.
